The GO-Bio Award Winners 2018 have been selected: Eight founding teams were honoured at the Biotechnology Days in Berlin. They each receive millions in funding from the BMBF. We are proud to announce that two are SPARK mentored projects.

We send our congratulations to all winners, especially Regine Heilbronn and team (Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin) and Felix Lorenz and team (Max-Delbrück-Centrum für Molekulare Medizin, Berlin-Buch)

The GO-Bio start-up grant supports researchers for up to seven years – up to four years until the start-up in the first funding phase and up to another three years after the start-up in a second funding phase. With GO-Bio, the founding teams receive substantial financial support averaging around one million euros per year for their demanding and high-risk research work. In addition, the scientists are taught entrepreneurial knowledge twice a year in the advanced training series “Gründer-Gespräche” and receive extensive coaching and consulting services.
