Posted on April 8th, 2021

SPARK Finland has been selected by Labiotech.eu, the leading digital media covering the European biotech industry, as one of the top 25 biotech incubators in Europe.

Labiotech.eu said in its story, “Incubators can give biotech startups the boost they need to get off the ground. These are our top picks of the biotech incubators across Europe supporting the next generation of life science startups.”

Labiotech.edu said SPARK Finland “offers a program to translate scientific discoveries into treatments, helping startups reach the proof of concept stage. Following the steps of its namesake in Stanford, US the incubator provides education and networking opportunities to startups in the healthcare space.”

SPARK Finland Co-Founder and Director Pasi Sorvisto said in an email, “This is an amazing achievement for a program that has been operating less than four years.”

Sorvisto added, “This achievement belongs to all of our project teams, mentors, SPARK managers in Finland, Europe and around the world, and all enablers that makes this work possible,” and recognized “universities, hospitals, cities and ministries – especially the Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment that enabled establishing our program.”
