SPARK GLOBAL is excited to announce that two new international programs have officially joined the network!

In January, SPARK Denmark was established at five of Denmark’s largest universities thanks to a grant of 44 million DKK from Novo Nordisk Foundation. SPARK Denmark includes the University of Copenhagen, Aarhus University, Aalborg University, the University of Southern Denmark and the Technical University of Denmark, and will solicit projects from PhD students to experienced professors from all universities and hospitals in Denmark. During the first five years, up to 45 projects will receive SPARK grants. The first round of applications for early-stage projects in pharmaceuticals, medical technology, healthcare technology and industrial biotechnology will take place in May and June 2022.

Also last month, the Sociedade Beneficente Israelita Brasileira Hospital Albert Einstein  formally joined the SPARK GLOBAL community. Einstein operates the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein and education and research activities at the Albert Einstein Instituto Israelita de Ensino e Pesquisa, created in 1998 in São Paulo, Brazil with technical, undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and MBA programs, training courses, and clinical and experimental research.
